A PCR COVID-19 test, also called a molecular test or polymerase chain reaction test, detects genetic material specific to the virus that causes COVID-19. PCR testing is considered the “gold standard” in COVID-19 detection and is often more accurate than a rapid test, especially in individuals without symptoms.
We believe the benefit of accurate and rapid COVID test results is clear. Once a COVID outbreak happens, the disruption at the workplace and cost of remediation can be devastating. What is more, the potential impact to employees and their families is equally frightening.
EFFECTIVE SCREENING AND EARLY DETECTION
Having an effective COVID screening program is an important risk mitigation that goes beyond vaccinations, social distancing, and temperature screening alone because of asymptomatic spread.
